A Revolutionary Pedagogy by P.McLaren: Informational and Analytic Review.
Abstract
The paper deals with the philosophical and pedagogical roots and essence of a revolutionary pedagogy, a philosophical and pedagogical concept developed by American scholar P.McLaren. The ontological aspect of a revolutionary pedagogy has to do with the main contradictions of the modern capitalist society, which challenges to education. Its
epistemological aspect deals with how to organize process of cognition in order to understand invisible intentions of the power relations in education and society with the aim to abolish them. The anthropological and praxiological aspects of a revolutionary pedagogy are the question of a person's intellectual self-reconstruction, self-liberation from power
discourses by education.
