Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1.5 spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Editorial Board considers the texts on all aspects of philosophical and educational subjects, including the interdisciplinary sphere of research of educational problems: articles (including polemical), translations, archival sources, reviews, information on events in the field.

The Journal publishes high-quality research papers which a) contain academic novelty; b) refer to proper contemporary publications in this area and include historical review; c) are up to the academic priorities of the journal.

The peer-reviewing procedure at Filosofiya osvity. Philosophy of Education is “double-blind”.

Requirements to the texts submitted for publication: 20.000-40.000 characters; Times New Roman, 12; line spacing: 1.5.

Papers should match APA citation style.

Sample of reference in the text: [Castells 2000: 101-102].

Quotations should avoid double translation (translation from translation) whenever possible.

An abstract of about 1800 characters will be required for publication.

Authors should indicate their ORCID iD (according to the sample: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6860-4730); research degree and academic title (if any), the main place of employment, position, and specify the field(s) of their research interests.

Classical and modern philosophical texts that are first translated into Ukrainian, are published here.

Privacy Statement

The names and e-mail addresses that are specified by users of the journal website, will be used solely for internal technical tasks of this journal; they will not be distributed and transmitted to unauthorized persons.
