The “knowledge society” as a special situation of being and self-determination rights is considered in the article. For its description model is used, which consists of three components. It is, firstly, the way of human acquirement and assimilation of the past — the cultural memory. Secondly, the ability to acquire a space of possible — person’s creativity; at the same time it solves the issue of the expectations’ horizon: “What future is possible for humans?” Thirdly, the autonomy of the personality as a mode of “being-inthe-world.” Thus “the human state” picks out in three dimensions: past, future, present, in each of which can be traced effect of the knowledge society. Its main parameters: the predominance of practices of oblivion and artificial means of storing information over the practices of memory; erosion of human creativity, including cognitive ability; transformation of individual autonomy as a transition from selfness to the singularity. A common feature of the «knowledge society» is a profound transformation of knowledge into various information constellations, and the primacy of the flexibility and efficiency of operation with information over accepted intellectual procedures and practices. That’s why acquisition of the person’s mobility becomes a basic requirement in modern education and the criterion of its success.
