Abstract

Philosophy of postmodernism, on the one hand, became the impetus for the revision of the monological model of teaching and for providing students enough space for creative self-realization during the training process. However, on the other hand, the autonomy of students within the postmodern worldview remains uncertain phenomenon because of the fundamental uncertainty of the concept of autonomy in it. On the one hand, it creates the space for interpretations, but on the other, makes the notion vulnerable to the different manipulations. Going beyond the postmodern worldview, contemporary approaches to autonomy form its framework definition, focusing not on its nature, but on the procedure
for its implementation, which reduces the risks of manipulations without returning to the modern totality of concepts.
