Abstract

The article is devoted to philosophical and educational issues of teaching «History of Ukrainian philosophy» by distinguishing key problem units. Forming a professional philosopher
through a marker of professional identity as a «carrier of his/her own philosophical tradition» is discussed. In this area the main problems are the following: the polyvalency of consciousness, a gap between idealized concepts of «Ukrainianness» and the strategies of contemporary philosophical reflection, which requires redefining national philosophy through a double hermeneutic (national and metaphilosophy). The modern history of Ukrainian philosophy is mostly presented as a memorial philosophical reflection with an emphasis on originality  («horizontal» as «a diffusion of philosophy throughout our culture», by D. I. Tchyzhevskyi). A systematization of the space of domestic philosophical reflections is proposed that means an increase of the «vertical» (professional philosophy) which should be based on the figures of the European level who incline to a new  understanding of the fundamental bases of Ukrainian  philosophy as a European one, and in a broader sense — to reinterpreting the features of the
«border» formations with their complex identity.
