Author’s philosophical refl ection on the problems of adult education is based on trying to understand the basic principles, ethical dilemmas, values and practices inherent in European policy on adult education, which is one of the segments in lifelong learning. Adult Education is a practice of teaching and educating adults, occurring after completion of formal education and come to the labor market. The system of lifelong learning in Ukraine is in the process of forming and the segment of the non-formal and informal adult education will require substantial development.
