Abstract

The article is devoted to consideration of the basic elements of Theodor Adorno’s Philosophy of Education. The author analyzes the philosopher’s critical attitude to “semi-education” as a cultural product of mass industrial civilization. This civilization ideologically influenced on individual and collective consciousness of the Europeans and totally subjected them to its power. The result of this influence was spread semi-education among the Europeans which have been alienated from interest in gaining knowledge. It has negatively influenced on the dynamics of sociocultural changes in European societies. Adorno in his philosophy of education pays attention to spiritual meaning of natural human interest to something unknown. He defines this irrational factor as primary anthropological condition of the intellectual formation of a new individual as a moral personality oriented on a new sociocultural becoming. Adorno considers that the sociocultural transformations are possible only on the base of the real democratization of European societies.
