Ukrainian Studies as an Integrative Cultural Studies Discipline.

Abstract

The article substantiates the concept of Ukrainian studies as an integrative cultural studies discipline, the purpose of which is defined as a outlook synthesis on the basis of specific areas of the national culture. The principles of specific analysis of the history of Ukrainian art, philosophy and other realms of culture are determined. The essence of analysis lies in their understanding as the forms of reproduction and reflection of the national outlook features. The main categories of ethnic aesthetics as a means of reconstruction of specific national outlook through the analysis of traditional Ukrainian art's works are considered.
